I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and have been an amateur photographer since 2009.

My interest in photography really got started when I discovered HDR (yes I can hear all the photography purists gasp and cringe in horror!). Really, I have to give a lot of credit to Trey Ratcliff for inspiring me to pick up a camera and give it a go. I feel that no matter what your personal opinion is on HDR, at least it's getting people into photography and getting creative, and that's a great thing to have in your life.
Starting out with a brand new Canon T1i, the 18-55mm kit lens, and a Sigma 10-20mm, I got the basics under my belt. After several years I'd gone from "hobbyist" to all-out "enthusiast". That little nagging desire to upgrade my kit to something a little more robust eventually became too much to bare! Suddenly, to my credit card company's joy, I broke down and bought a Canon 5D Mark II, along with a nice EF 17-40 mm L and EF 70-300mm to keep it company. Now I can catch those wide and sweeping vistas, AND the rocks jutting out of the snow on that far away mountain peak!

Now I feel like my journey is really just beginning. I'd like to thank everyone that views and comments on my photos, or those who simply provide inspiration through photos of their own. I would also like to thank all my family and friends who constantly encourage me to keep shooting, and eagerly await to see the results when I'm done. It's fun to share, and having a warm and receptive audience is all I could ever ask for!

Finally, I'd like to thank you for actually reading this far. If you're reading this, you probably took the time to look at a few of my photos, so thank you!
